| Project: Telecommunication
Systems of Fourth National Gas Pipeline (IGAT-IV) |
| Location: Along the fourth Gas pipeline from
Assaluyeh to Tehran |
| Client: NIGEDC (subsidiary of NIGC) |
| Contract Type: Review of Detail Engineering,
Procurement, Construction and Commissioning |
| Started: 2005 |
| Status: Completed |
Project Summary
IGAT-IV is a 56 inches pipeline and carries 110 mcm/day gas from
South Pars Gas Complex and the Parsian Refinery to consumers in
the cities of Tehran, Isfahan, Shiraz, Kerman, Yazd, and Saveh.
It has 5 branches and a total length of more than 1200 km.
Telecom Project of IGAT-IV pipeline was initiated in order to
establish telecommunications along the pipeline, from Assaluyeh,
to Tehran, in 58 stations including 36 Block Valves, 10
Compressor Stations, 5 Operation Yards and 7 Terminals and
Central Stations. Four Central stations in Assaluyeh, Shiraz,
Isfahan and Tehran will control all communications. When
completed, this telecom network will be the sole Fiber Optic
Communication Line between Tehran (as the main network
management center) and Assaluyeh (as the main gas production
complex in the south part of the country), and therefore will
also provides traffic back up for three previous pipelines
(first, second and third national Pipelines).
IGAT-IV was
awarded to Pars Saman as a PC project. Still, due to some
necessities, a professional team reviewed and modified the
engineering designs. Subsequently procurement and supply of all
equipment was carried out successfully. In 2008, installation of
equipment began and is still continuing.
After successful
Pre-commissioning in all sites, Commissioning of the whole
Pipeline Telecom System will be done and subsequently will be
handed over to the Client.
